
A journey through cultures, identities, and stories intertwined across the Mediterranean.
From April 30 to June 2, the Hermitage of Quisquina in Santo Stefano hosts the exhibition “Trame mediterranee,” curated by the Orestiadi Foundation of Gibellina and included in the PNRR project “Terra di cieli, acqua e pietre” .
Most of the works come from the Orestiadi Foundation collection and offer an insight into the historical and cultural ties among the peoples living around the Mediterranean.
The artists featured in the exhibition include the Tunisians Mohammed Messaoudi and Nja Madaoui, the Algerians Amar Briki and Hakim Abbaci, the Iraqi artist Hadeel Azeez, the Greek artist Nikos Moskos, and the American Susan Kleiberg with a video dedicated to Mexican migrants.
Also on display are works by Italian artists: Innocente, Alfonso Leto, Rossana Taormina, Vito Bongiorno, and Franco Accursio Gulino.
The exhibition is dedicated to Lorenzo Reina, creator of the Teatro Andromeda. During the exhibition period, the latest work created by the Quisquina master will also be featured.
