From 4 to 13 September in Genoa, in the Sala Liguria of the Palazzo Ducale, will be presented the
exhibition Il Respiro dell'Arte (The Breath of Art), the first stage of the international art project
conceived and curated by Virginia Monteverde, to give testimony to the difficult moment that the
world is going through struggling with COVID 19, which will then land in Germany, the
Netherlands and Switzerland.
The exhibition is promoted by the Art Commission with the collaboration of Palazzo Ducale
Fondazione per la Cultura and is supported by the Goethe Institut Genua, the Kosmos-Kultur-
Stiftung Foundation in Zug (Switzerland) and the International Poetry Festival of Genoa.
The project "Il Respiro dell'Arte", born during the lockdown, has been joined by artists from
different countries, invited to interpret and realize according to their vision and technique, what is
and will remain the symbol of the fight against the virus: the sanitary mask.
The project is enriched by the Dance and Poetry sections, in collaboration with Davide Francesca
and Francesca Pedullà who curated the Dance section, and Claudio Pozzani, director of the
International Poetry Festival of Genoa.
